Cyber Legacy eSports team and The Sergei Berezin Charitable Foundation for Cancer Patients organized a joint FORTNITE competition. The competition took place online on October 12th and 13th with the participation of CL’s professional players, athletes and streamers. The event was broadcast on CL content-maker “HURMA”’s Twitch-channel. The event organizers drew the attention of the eSports community to charity as well as encouraged event spectators to do good deeds.
The tournament was broadcast on “Hurma”’s Twitch-channel on October 12 and 13. The first day of competition was in the “Battle Royale” format. At the end of the first day Artur “97default” Osipov was the winner. Sixteen players moved on to the second day of play. They fought in one-on-one battles in three modes: speed editing, fighting, and speed building. The winner of the second day was Aleksandr “Shizoname” Svistunov. In the final round, he beat Timofey “Cortez” Marukov and received a symbolic prize - a box of persimmons.
The tournament was closely watched in a St Petersburg studio and was commented on by Dmitry "Hurma" Geynts, Daniil "Samburskoy" Samburskoy, Nikita "Miluchee" Arefiev and other event guests.
During the event, the audience not only watched their idols play, but also
helped children with cancer. A total of 55 000 rubles were raised, with
the money transferred to the Foundation and used to purchase the necessary
equipment for the treatment of oncological diseases.

The charity tournament was organized with the support of “Guide Store” an online learning platform for playing Fortnite and international investment company Freedom International Group.

The Sergei Berezin Charitable Foundation for Cancer Patients was founded in St. Petersburg in 2019. The charity was established by the All-Russian youth public organization "MIR" and the Medical Institute named after Sergei Berezin. The Foundation raises charitable funds to be donated to cancer patients in need of high-tech medical care (proton therapy), as well as the necessary medicines, medical equipment and other types of assistance for treatment, including donated blood.
